Veneers are thin, custom-constructed shells of material designed to cover dental imperfections. The veneer is placed over the front surface of a tooth in order to improve appearance.
Veneers are typically composed of either composite resin or porcelain. Our dentists offer direct veneers with custom-tinted composite resin. These are done in one visit, usually. Resin veneers are thin and require less off the surface of your tooth before they are put on.
We also offer indirect porcelain veneers, made in a dental lab. Porcelain veneers are more durable and long lasting, and they require 2 or 3 visits to complete the procedure. Resin veneers are essentially the minimally invasive way to cover up small chips or discolouration in teeth. Porcelain veneers are generally more appropriate for severe cases of cracking, discolouration, chipping and spacing of teeth.

You will wear temporary dental veneers while the permanent restorations are being fabricated. When you attend a final clinical appointment, the dentist will replace your temporaries with your custom-made, beautiful, durable porcelain veneers.
