Getting To Know Dr. Sundeep Chohan – Surrey Dentist

Dr. Sundeep Chohan has been a trusted dentist in Surrey for years. But what else do you know about her? Here’s a quick question and answer session I had with Dr. Chohan:

1. Where did you grow up?

Surrey, BC. I was raised in both the Guildford and Fleetwood areas.

2. How many siblings do you have?

Two siblings. I’ve got an older brother and younger brother.

3. What schools did you go to?

For elementary school, I went to Lena Shaw and then Walnut Road For High School, I went to Fleetwood Secondary. As you can see, I’ve lived my life in Surrey and it’s always been home. For post-secondary I got my Bachelors of Honors from Simon Fraser University and my Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia.

4. Why did you get into dentistry?

I have always wanted to be a dentist for as long as I can remember. I was even a dentist for Halloween one year. I always had great dental experiences as a child and thought it was an amazing way of helping people.

5. What’s your favorite thing about dentistry?

I love getting to know my patients and the relationships we build together.

6. What’s your favorite past time?

Spending quality time with my family. This usually involves me cooking, which I also enjoy doing.

7. What’s your favorite food?

Chocolate! Even dentists like chocolate (in moderation).

8. What’s your favorite movie?

Elf! Always puts a smile on my face.

9. Where have you traveled?

I love to travel any chance I get. I have travelled to England, Greece, Italy, Spain, Arizona, Toronto, Mexico, India and many other places. On second thought, this is my favorite past time. Traveling with my family and friends.

10. What’s your favorite book?

People.com. Just kidding. The Kite Runner.

11. What do you love about Surrey?

The sense of community. It’s a great place to grow up and raise a family. I highly recommend it!!
